Hana Gadalla, BDS Periodontist
Dr. Gadalla studied Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, Detroit, MI, She earned her Master’s degree while serving as Chief Resident during her third year in the program. During her residency, Dr. Gadalla received extensive clinical training in treating periodontal disease, periodontal regeneration, soft and hard tissue grafting, cosmetic periodontal procedures, IV sedation, sinus augmentation and dental implant placement.
Prior to her specialty training, Dr. Gadalla earned her dental degree in Libya. She continued her education at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, Gainesville, FL, completing the Periodontal and Implant Dentistry Fellowship.
Additionally, Dr. Gadalla has been actively involved in research and poster presentation participation at various local and national periodontal meetings. She has several publications in peer review journals and is an active member in the American Dental Association and American Academy of Periodontology.
Dr. Gadalla was recognized as one of three finalist of the prestigious Lazzara Fellowship for one of her Research projects from many third year resident applicants across the United States. Her clinical Implant cases have won her first place in a case study in the Michigan Association of Periodontology and Michigan Dental association. She is an AAP foundation scholarship recipient. She was also awarded Resident of the Year in 2016 at St. John Health for outstanding performance and leadership.
